I'd go 4.56 being you have the V6. Should make the truck drive like stock.

My 5spd with 3.55s is about 2100 at 60mph with stock 235 70 17s so probably about 1900 at 60. So 4.10s on his would be closer to stock I think.

i turn 2000RPM's at 60MPH with my gear combo, so its all up to you man.

do you want more off the line power or lower rpms cruising?

either way your MPG is still going to suck lol

As I already posted, 4.10's with 35" tires would be 1900 at 60 and 4.56's with 35" tires would be 2100 at 60.

Stock tires on your 2001 are 29". With those and 3.55's, you would be turning 2000 at 60.

To put it back to stock, you would need 4.30's, but you can't get 4.30's for the front axle.

Because of the taller and heavier tires, I think I'd go for the 4.56's. The mileage certainly isn't going to be any worse than you are getting now.

Sorry I don't know if I misunderstood you or not but all I am saying is my stock setup with 3.55s at 60 I think would still be closer to 4.10s on 35s than 4.30s. You said 1900@60mph and I think that is pretty much what my 08 is at 60mph but I would have to double check. I am not trying to start anything as I have great respect for you and your advice.

Ok after double checking on my way home....at 60mph in 5th gear my rpms were 1950 according to my scangauge2. And my rpm needle was also less than 2000 and if going by it alone I would have guessed 1925 to 1975rpms judging by the area it was in. So it was actually exactly in the middle of what we both said lol.

Timmy, YOUR stock setup is different than his 2001, different tire sizes. His are 29's, yours are 30's. That's where the difference is.

Okay - in your 2001 at 75 mph:

3.55's and 29" tires - 2500 rpm (this is stock)
3.55's and 35" tires - 2100 rpm (this is what you have now)
4.10's and 35" tires - 2400 rpm
4.56's and 35" tires - 2600 rpm

I recommend 4.56's.
