Battery going bad?

Well I posted something about this a long while back but now I am having the same issue again. I drive my truck to work Fridays and on the weekends. Tonight being my friday since I work 3rd shift I went and started my truck and it seemed sluggish, when I was cranking it the doors locked. It did the same thing to me last winter. It is cold here now in PA. I had no issues at all during the summer months. It only seems to do it when I let it sit all week and its cold outside. After I drive it around for a good bit, shut it off, then fire it back up a few hrs later its fine??? My dash lights flickered real quick to. My battery gauge reads fine so I dont know what it could be. Havent had a chance to load test it due to work. Thoughts??

Cold temps brings out a battery in poor condition, poor cable connections and a low alternator charge rate.
Something is marginal.
Have the whole system tested and check the cables or your going to be left setting.
Already had one warning from last time.
Good luck.

batteries sulfate when not at full charge, it's good maintenance every few months to put them on the charger to make sure it's topped off.

I swapped in anew interstate. Wow I have never heard my truck start so easy. I had my rig just over a yr now and it always started kinda sluggish. From my truck creeping forward a bit after it fired to my doors locking themselfs upon startup, all that is gone now. Its amazing what a bad battery can cause. I just cant believe it lasted that long though!

Wonderful isn't it?
A battery check light tester would have shown up the poor battery and or cables.
They are found at places like Advanced and AutoZone. They have LEDs at the various voltage levels to tell you what is happening at cranking, charging and during normal running after the battery has recovered it's charge. Anything other wise is a fault.
At crank your voltage was falling down to less then 11 volts.
Parts of the system begin to malfunction a those low voltages.
Enjoy, good luck.

Yup, the door locks. They always screw up first. Careful, you can get locked out that way lol.

Already been there. I got myself in the habbit when I was around 17 to keep a spare in my wallet or keep the window down if im starting my car/truck and im not in it. I have been locked out one to many times before. Hard lesson learned I guess LOL
