Led Headlights

Right now I have some PnP hids in my headlights and halogens in my fogs and hellas. What are yalls opinions on led headlights and driving lights? would they be too bright? illegal even?

Good you ask and are concerned.
Only comment is whatever you decide on make sure they are adjusted not to blind oncoming traffic.
For everyone that blinds me I would like to take a hammer to on their way by.
I always run bulbs that are about 25% brighter than stock and seems to work very well and never have an issue with oncoming traffic.
These truck have the focusing in the lens housing that make them more tolerant for blinding.
After market clear housings depend on the bulb or light supply assembly for much of the focus so become more critical.
Good luck.

Well lets clear some stuff up.

LED headlights- While they are headlights, they are not meaning LEDs as primary sources of illumination. Only very expensive cars have the technology to use LEDs as light sources. The lamps you are looking at online are chinese made assemblies with standard 5mm LEDs tied into the turn signal or parking light wire. They are meant to be used as DRLs, but lack at even that job. At best, they are accessory or "bling" lights. The housings themselves still rely on a halogen bulb to complete the job. While you can replace the bulb with a PnP HID kit, it is blinding to other people to do this. Yes, you can aim them down, but now you're only illuminating the ground right in front of you, which will yield in something called "driving over the beam".

You should stick to halogens where they were designed. If you want HIDs, you should become equipped with HID projectors to control the beam better and prevent glare.

^Best way to put it. One of the worse things is that the cheap LEDs they use in thse housing burn out real easy too. I learned the hard way about PnP kits, and now i just have a set of ZXE's in my housings.
