I've saw a lot of mixed reviews when I looked at them for my truck, I saw some people who said they helped, people who said it caused too much stress on steering and made parts wear out faster, and people who said they couldn't tell any difference. I never ended up getting one, but as cheap as they are it might be worth it just to see and if nothing else throw it on craigslist, there's still plenty of people with our bodystyle who'd probably buy it in our area haha.

Yeah i got to looking at em on 4wheelparts and reading reviews...some guys were saying the take a lot of stress off of suspension parts...i was seeing though that the monotube ones are for 33" or smaller tires....so the dual shock setup from skyjacker $135 bucks might be a better choice

A steering stabilizer will not take any stress off of your suspension, who ever told you that is full of it. All it does is what it is called (steering stabilizer). All it is, is a shock absorber for the steering and helps take out the wobble out of the front wheels at higher speeds.

I ran a Fabtech one for a short time, soon after I had installed the lift. I think it was hard on the tie rod ends. I replaced all the wear parts when I installed the lift, such as tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.,and within a year I was doing the rod ends again. I got rid of the stabilizer, and noticed no difference in the drive quality, and gained life on the front end parts.

Hey another mechanicsvill-er haha i have the Skyjacker dual steering stabalizer on mine now.

I ran a Moog single shock stabalizer on my truck for about a year with 35s. Replaced ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, steering box (too much play) trying to figure out why my truck had a wobble on the interstate. The moog kit helped but didnt eliminate the problem. I guess very old BFGs on a 12 wide wheel were to blame.

When I went to 38s two years ago i put the skyjacker kit on. I just had 36x15.50s put on two weeks ago and had the suspension checked out. Everything was still nice and tight and rides relatively smooth (as smooth as a 15.50 wide tire can do lol) at 80 down the interstate

Ha yeah theres like 3 mechanicsvillers on this post alone....yeah it seems like there are mixed reviews on stabilizers....my truck rides and drives fine now so i guess i shouldnt change anything up....my tires are like street/all terrains and only a 10" wide wheel so it aint too bad..i would like the look of that dual stabilizer set up though haha

Cant see em behind the skid plate. Can only see them mounted on the bracket behind the tires.
