I have a large flatbed trailer too

I also prefer unmolested. I still have the Original system with the CD changer and everything. Maybe I didn't phrase that in the ad properly.

Thanks, but that's not really cost effective.

Heck, living in the Houston area, I couldn't even get that thing emissions legal, since that v10 wasn't exactly available in the light duty trucks.

Your market is really slim. One, for someone who wants a v10 F150; two, for someone who still has some fixer-upper stuff to do. Maybe ven someone who in my case would have to buy a farm to drop it off at so I could dig ruts with it...
First off, it's not a hack job, though I can understand why the ad may lead you to believe so. The ABS issue has been there from the day I got the truck and I have just never put the effort into solving the cruise issue. Second, while it may not have the GVWR of the 7700, I can tell you it tows 100% better than a 5.4 F150. Finally, while the legality of the truck is debatable, all the emissions people care about is whether or not the computer says everything is OK - and it does. I have to take it through inspection and it passes.

I understand all of your points about why it's not selling though. Very small target audience. Thank you for your input, not trying to bash - I'm just defensive about my work

ishootstuff,

I believe the reason you're having a hard time selling it is because you've added TOO much detail to the ad.

I buy and sell daily on craigslist. People are lazy and don't want to read it all. I've seen it first hand with a couple vehicles I've sold (otherwise just big coincidences).

List the bare minimums and explain the rest once they come and look at it.

That is an alternate strategy, yes. I'd rather it take longer to sell than deal with a bunch of people coming to my house, or talking on the phone though. I have always been very wordy in my ads and have had good success in the past. I may try your suggestion later to see if I get more activity. Thanks for the advice.

Just buy the whole thing while you're at it Patman! Use it as a parts truck haha.

I definitely don't think any part of this is even remotely a "hack job." You were rightly offended OP

I agree. I have bought and sold a lot of vehicles in my life and I decided the same thing. If you put all the info in the ad especially such as mileage, the calls will be less but potential real buyers will call.

And I never negotiated over the phone if they were not serious enough to come look at it first.
