No backup lights OR automatic door locks
No backup lights OR automatic door locks
I have a problem that I have been battling for a few weeks that I wondered if someone could shed some light on. My backup lights don't work. I have already replaced the neutral safety switch on the side of the trans., but still no lights. Bulbs are not burned out, fuses appear good. Now I also noticed that the automatic door locks don't work either. The locks work when I press the key fob or the door switches, BUT they don't work when I put it in drive and move forward like they always have in the past. I haven't changed any settings for the locks either. Has anyone else had these issues?? Could the inoperable locks and no backup lights be related? Help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Unrelated.
The backup lamps are a simple fuse/switch/wiring/bulb circuit.
Go through the autolock setup and see if you can turn it on. Procedure is in owners manual.

Well, figured out my problems. Was testing fuses at the fuse box under the hood and I noticed the wiring harness under the fuse box was all chewed up (mice). 2 wires were chewed in half and several others were half chewed. Spent some time repairing the harness properly and what do you know, my backup lights and autolock work again! Mice suck!
