Remote Start not working

Hey guys, I have a 2003 Lariat with the factory remote start installed. It's always worked fine up until now. Usually when I press and hold the blue button on the remote, the horn chirps and lights flash, and the truck will start up.

I tried it the other day and now the lights will flash, but no start. The lights will come on for a second, then go off for about 15 seconds, then flash on again, then off for 15 or so, and the process repeats. Any ideas?

You have to re-teach it engine RPM's. It's a key on/key off / brake procedure.

Which do you have ? Code Alarm ? -

Tach Learn Mode:
__________________________________________________ _________

1. Press and hold brake pedal.

2. Within 5 seconds, turn the vehicle ignition switch on then off two times, pausing no more than 2 seconds.

3. Within 5 seconds, release the vehicle brake pedal (Note: To prevent false exit of tach learn mode, the vehicle brake pedal must not be pushed again until step 7).

4. The vehicle parking lights will flash two times to indicate entry into tach learn mode.

5. Start the vehicle normally and let the engine come to it's minimum idle speed (about 750- 1000 RPM).

6. The parking lights will flash once every 5 seconds to indicate that it has learned the current engine idle speed.

7. When the engine has finally come to its minimum idle speed, press and release brake pedal to exit tach learn mode.

8. The engine tach speed has now been learned.

thanks jbrew- i followed the steps exactly last night- remote started didn't start. went to bed grouchy- going to mass this morning- tried it just to see what would happen- started and purred like a kitten.
maybe i wore it out
reason- i let the battery run down to where i needed a jumpstart.
