compass and temp display not working

do these unit go bad unhook and tested to set if plug has power and it does .are these common failure on older models? my is a 2001

Go to the "how to section" where Patman posted an excellent repair post to fix this problem. I have an 03 and I fixed mine today.

compass and temp display not working

do these unit go bad? need to know what number fuse location on fuse panel and what other piggyback off this fuse number.
