Front rotors

How does it come off? I have the calipers off nad I tried hitting the rotors a few times but it's is not moving. Do I need to remove the wheel bearing retainer nut? mine is a 4x4....

Good ole rust. You don't need to remove the axle nut on a 4x4 as it is seperate from the hub.

Use some penetrating oil and get creative. On other vehicles I've put a bolt and nut through the back where the caliper bolts go and cranked that down to get it to pop off.

Ok, thanks. Just wanted to make sure I didn't missed something. I'll have to get stronger than the rotors.

Definetely just stuck from the rust, put your lug nuts on and beat the rotor face in between the studs. Then when its off clean the outer surface of the hub assembly with some sand paper and put antiseeze on it and you won't have such a problem next time!!

There is a How To in the Articles and How To section that demonstrates this. Look in the index under brakes.

Got it finished. But it wasn't without a few extra $$ for more parts
Had to change 2 of the callipers and the hand brakes has been completely changed.
