problem after problem

So I removed my front drive shaft bc my 4wd seemed to be stuck, now a day later my speedometer stopped working and my check engine light is on. It's a 98 f150 4.6 v8 automatic trans and auto transfer case. Idk wtf the reason is for

Even with all that out, my gf accidently hit the **** into 4L and i didnt realize it for about half a day and it was parked in it overnight. The next day LOW RANGE & 4x4 were lit up and when I put it back into 2 low range went away but not 4x4. Idk now bc drive shaft and shift solenoid were out at the time.

Your check engine light indicates you have a stored DTC (diagnostic trouble code) You need to have that scanned to know what the issue is.
You can have the codes read for free from places like autozone. Report back with the actual code for example P0300. Not the generic information they give you at the counter. Just have the codes read and post them back here.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you are in 4lo you cant go right back to 2wd. You need to be in neutral and go to 4hi then wait for it to engage and then go to 2wd. That will get rid of your 4x4 light still being on
