6 inch with 37s? Clearance?

I'm wanting to put a 6" Zone Offroad suspension lift in my 2002 SuperCab FX4. With this lift kit, how well am I going to be able to clear 37" tires? I know that they'll fit for on-road use but how well will they clear during off roading? I'm not looking to make a rock crawler out of it but I'd like to be able to conquer inclines, hills, and come in and out of pits without worrying about stuffing my tires too far up into the fender well and hitting something. What is everyone's opinion? I'd like to avoid a body lift, they're heavily frowned upon where I come from (Wisconsin) and that has made me a little leery of installing one in my rig.

Depends on the tires and the wheels, you could be fine or have really bad rubbing.

Hunterjh I can't tell on my phone but what brand of tires do you have.
And to the OP, I remember talking to the rep from rough country at the 4 wheel jamboree and he told me that I could fit 37's with their lift no problem.

like pizzaman711 said it all depends on the wheels and tires i would not go any wider than a 12.50 or 13.50

Okay so let's assume a 37x12.5R17 on a wheel with 4.5" BS and -12mm offset which is pretty common. I'm not really worried about being able to clear turning lock to lock. It's more so wondering if flexing the suspension will put the tires in places they'll rub. For instance, putting the truck off camber with one side up high and the other down low. Would they then be stuffed up too far?

Actual tire specs is what matters. and im guessing your assuming a 9" wide wheel because you said -12 offset? As in the specs listed on the manufacturer's site, not on the sidewall?

If you want room to flex stick to 35's, if you want the biggest tire possible then try to cram 37's in there.

Hunter, don't you have the falken wild peak at's?

Thanks for the input guys, I think I will go with 35s, I enjoy the more technical side of off roading so I think the added room to flex will do me well. I guess since I haven't chosen a tire I just tried to generalize them all to get an educated guess rather than offer up exact specs. Now to try and decide on a tire!

I almost considered getting them in that same size when I had more lift on mine, but I thought they were more like 36x13's, not 37's haha.

Awesome looking truck, what kind of 2" adapters do you have, like a wheel spacer?
