Gotta love a red truck ...
especially a 98 f150 4.6l 5spd and manual t-case...with 196,500 miles on it and still runs strong

How does yours sound with the cutout?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I plan on cutting the stock muffler out and getting a flowmaster or magnaflow and running some turn downs. Now did you have to weld in a new hanger to run your muffler like this or is it just as simple as cutting old out and putting new in?

Nice truck man I like it.

How does the 5spd drive with the bigger tires? What gears do you have?

The cutout sounds okay and is pretty dang loud. I tried to make some videos but my camera doesn't pick up the sound very well. It sounds kind bad and trashy at low RPMs but once its above 2K it has a decent tone.

I'm not too sure about the hangers, the previous owner had the magnaflow installed. I ended up having the turn downs put on because the tips that were on it looked bad.

The factory muffler is longer than most aftermarket mufflers so some extra pipe might be needed to make up the difference.

Are you doing the swap yourself or a muffler shop?

Good to know my truck has the 3.55 LS as well.

The SLP loudmouth's should have a nice aggressive sound, I've always wanted to try one.
