Updated pictures will be up tmr , recently drained some tranny fluid out and put in a full bottle of Lucas trans fix, also painted the bumper cover, front flares and bottom half with undercoat, replaced both front shocks and will be replacing the driver front wheel bearing next week, got it inspected but a week after the check engine light came on for an evap leak, takes about a week and a half for the light to come back on, also plan on getting some rear shocks for it and painting the box maroon

this is what it looked like after i applied tiger hair over the blow up insolation, if you remeber i had to make my own rocker panelsand the only way to seal them off was to use blow up insolationi, so im putting tiger hair over it to really seal it up and make it look smooth

So just to give an update the truck now has 4 new shocks rides much better
The next big project for this truck will be the addition of a swap from drums to rear discs, the reasoning behind this is because I live in the rust belt and the drums on this truck have chunks missing out of them from rust, adjusters are froze up from rust and after awhile the adjuster cables brake from all stress of the rusted components, so I could either pay for an entire rebuild of each side, which up hear would only last a winter without getting some serious rust, or I could switch to a disc brake setup
So I have decided to do a rear disc swap, I have a year 2000 parts expedition with a rear 9.75 with discs and I have a 9.75, I'm not going to swap axles I'm just going to swap hardware, since I cannot find any threads of pictures of how to do this or the after effects I will post a step by step, I'm not going to run an e- brake, at first I'm not going to replace the brake booster or pro portioning valve, I want to see if I can install the discs without having to replace those components, if the brakes suck after that point then I will switch in the disc brake booster and pro portioning valve, hope to have all necessary parts taken off the expedition by next week

Nice work. My '99 started off as a $1000 truck too. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with rust in southern AZ. Project no payment is perfect - I haven't had a car payment in a very long time because I buy them broke too. Excellent job.

That is some mighty fine work for that low investment. Sure it was rough, but you really have brought that truck a LONG ways along...

Yeah, it is pretty obvious you live in the rust belt...
