Looks really good! I like the pinstripe delete, looks clean without it.

Any plans for the back bumper or is it staying chrome?

Good job man. Looks real good. Now ditch the side moldings and get some 09+ decals. Truck would be over the top. Very clean mods. Be careful as I am sure you now know, this is highly addictive and very expensive.

Thanks guys.

@Erik: I priced the RH back bumper and it is insane... Like $550... I am always up for painting it though... What do you think?

@Tom: Hopefully I will be getting some custom FX4 decals today. They are gonna look like the 09-11 ones without the gray crap all over them and will have custom wording underneath.

I thought about taking off the molding, but was worried about what it would look like... So I Photoshopped it.

What do you guys think?

Also, I found my Dad's old nerf bars from his '98. They have 1 step on the driver side and 2 on the passenger side.

I know this was because of the 3 doors. But what do you think? Paint em black and don't worry about it? or look for some made for 4 doors?

Also would you go with the glossy black to match the bumper and toolbox? or flat since they will be low and get dirty all the time. (We farm so this truck is dirty 90% of the time.)

These trucks do look good without the side molding but I chose to keep mine on to help prevent door dings.

I'm personally not a fan of nerf bars, took mine off recently. They are nice to have though, my fiancee hates getting in/out of my truck now lol. I would paint them flat black or maybe use some of that spray on bed liner.

For the back bumper I would paint it to match the front. I wanted to go RH but also wasn't going to pay that much. I painted my factory chrome rear bumper black a few years ago and it's held up good, only has one small rock chip.

I scuffed up the chrome, used Bulldog adhesion promoter, primer, black paint and a lot of layers of matte finish clear coat.

Well I would definitely ditch the molding. I plan on knocking mine off once it gets warm out. Its still in the 20's up here. I wouldnt put the money into getting new nerf bars and would just paint the ones ya got laying around. Especially since you work your truck. I would go with the flat black or like Erik said use some bed liner. Ive seen a lot of guys do this and it holds up and looks good too. I hear ya on the new FX4 decals though. I love the look if they'd get rid of that grey crap on them. Painting the rear bumper is very possible like Erik also said. Just scuff it up with a scotch pad throw some primer and paint em. I like the chrome look so I left mine but I think it would go well with the over all look of your truck. Happy modding buddy.

Yeah, I am gonna hit the nerf bars with the spray bedliner, and match the bumper to the front.

I may coat the plastic on top of the bumper with the bedliner to tie it together.

The guy who is doing the decals is gonna take the molding off tomorrow and buff out where they were.

Also getting new plugs, fuel filter, and getting my injectors cleaned tomorrow morning. What other maintenance should I have done while it is pulled apart? (I'm at 130k)

Return the K&N air filter and get an Amsoil one instead. The K&N ones have terrible filtration capability and that oil that's on it can get all over the MAF.

Other than that everything sounds good man.

On a side note, I took my door moldings off and love the new look without them. Definitely gives it a much cleaner look IMO.
