I have a 97 f 150 i'm taking out a jensen flip up screen cd/dvd/nav player and installing a regular cd player. I hook up the wires according to the radio and harness everything works but no sound. Any idea where to start?

 

Is the radio your putting in new or used? Basically, do you know if it worked or not pre-install.

If you know it did go back and recheck all your connections, make sure you have settings right on the radio, etc.

 

I know it worked. Ieven put the radio back in that i took out to begin with and hooked it up according to radio and harness diagram all the power works all controls just no sound and it is not on mute. Thinking whoever installed it before me rigged it. Thanks anymore ideas would be greatly appreciated

 

Was there amp b4 or factory speakers and wires?
