The windshield leak affects the GEM.

The modual is a general electronics modual called a GEM.
Depending on the truck build, it controls power windows, door locks, 4x4, interior light timing functions and other operations depending on the options the truck has.
You may or may not have some kind of association with these functions because we cannot tell what has been done with the radio hookup.
Most do not know about these complex relationships and conecting to wires that seem to have what is being looked for, often causes issues that are never understood.
You have to sort it out, otherwise all the replies don't help much.
Good luck.

Well it is not the GEM, everything actually works other than what I mentioned. 4x4, climate controls, dimmer, lights, dash lights....

@Bluegrass, on the forum to simply ask for ideas, not solutions. A little of the Captain Obvious remark that I have to sort it out. Yes in the end I do have to sort it out.

Well here's another option then, since you say it's not the gem or the radio wiring harness, just go back and add new wires for those so you know they work.

For you SCREW folks, that #8 5A fuse is the kicker, and was missing. Added 5A fuse, and bingo, Radio (Now OEM) and wipers all work.

Thank god for ALLDATA because my owners manual does not mention Super Crew Only, but ALLDATA does.

Thanks all who stuck with me!

Owner gude for 2001.
Seems like a pattern here!
Good luck.

I don't know what issue you have but I looked it up and it's there.
Good luck.
