If you're talking about blocks in the rear with only cranking the bars in the front, you may not want to do that. For most SCabs, cranking the bars will just about level the truck out perfectly. Instally blocks in the rear will place you right back in a nose low situation. Look around, but I don't think most guys go this route; just do the front.

In lack of better pic at the moment. Cranked bars and a 3" block in the rear. Had to replace the factory block in order to level.

I don't suggest doing this, -it'll tear the front end up in no time. At that point, you would have been better off lifting it right. You sacrifice to much, to fast this way. However, it did look better.

Although i totaled the red truck before it has 20K miles i will agree. Im so glad my white truck wasnt a DD. Id put about 6-10K a year and at every oil change i would have to change the idler arm. Was on 38X15.50s and the torsion keys where maxed out.

Wayne if I didn't know any better I'd say we almost had identical trucks. Yours is just a lot shinier lol.

Here she was before I took off the fabtech and 37s

Well those pictures where back in Jan/2004, during the World Of Wheels. 2 months later it was totaled by a drunk driver. Truck had 18K miles on it so it was basically brand new.

That sucks, - looks like the DDD didn't even hit the brakes. So that one didn't have the lightning engine in it ? Probably not. How did you like the 03 w/lightning engine in it ? Worth doing ?

Oh and GO RHINO!

The DDer didnt slow nor did i. He ran a stop sign and i T-Boned him. That truck did NOT have the L motor in it. My white truck i bought after the red one did. And HELL YEAH its worth it. No better feeling than being on 38"s cruising around, pull up beside a mustang and spank up on him.

That's a shame, nice looking truck.

Good to hear. The 98 is sitting in the shop collecting dust, w/307,000 miles on the engine. Nothing wrong with it really, just haven't decided what to do with it. My daughters want me to make it a mud truck. So first thing to do is the powerplant, - while it's sitting somewhat low to the ground, - then I'll go up from there lol.

What year is it countrystyle ? I believe the 97-98 have longer bars and you can get more out them. But look it up, as I'm not totally sure. Year specific anyway. Also, if it's 7700 and if I recall correctly, those aren't adjustable.

If you crank them, turn evenly and count your turns!! Make sure you jot the turn numbers down somewhere for future reference. You may have play with it later and/or be glad you did. I also suggest not maxing them, - at first any. The ride will be different. You might not get that with the later model years. If its a 97/98 and you max them, you'll have front shock bushing problems and bump steer issues. Factory shocks and even Bilstien factory replacements are not long enough for a max crank with those model years. I can't speak for the years where shorter bars were used. Anyway keep an eye on them. You may have alignment issues as well. With mine, I couldn't get the steering wheel perfectly straight, - or they couldn't anyway. It could be aligned within spec, but it wouldn't remain that way. It would last awhile, but eventually and with everything a lot firmer up front, the alignment slowly went south.

Do a little research to avoid immediate and future problems. A lot of guys here have a ton of hands on with this,- you'll get great advice. You can also head over to the suspension forum here, -

https://www.f150online.com/forums/suspension-28/

Then on the right side of that page, use the "search this forum " drop down. Looks like this, -

Type in say, - "Torsion Bars" to get the threads pertaining to, most likely, you'll get a few pics as well. Do the same in this forum. Search just seems to work better that way, IMO.

Good Luck.
