a little tire help... opinions wanted

I just picked up these 20" wheels the other day .. had to drive a bit to get them and in the middle of no where arkansas...note the mud on the truck. anyway.. I got them wheels and tires for 200.. tires are in not great shape at around 3/32 4/32.. and showing age with some cracking.. these are 275 65 20.. which is a 34.1" tall tire. My truck is a 4.6 and im guessing that means I have 3.31 8.8 rear.. While I have no noticeable seat of the pants power loss.. I notice my gas mileage is slightly worse. I would like to probably step down to a 33' tire and maybe not a 10 ply.. I don't haul trailers. or anything in the rear really other than a few parts for my 65 f100 and occasional home projects.. this baby just gets me to work and back.. What tire size do you guys recommend and what tire...I would like to get an all terrain.. I love the duratrecs.. but, weight may be an issue there..dunno. Thanks appreciate the help.. I've only had one other set of 20s and they were on a Dodge Ram with a 390 .. so power wasn't much an issue. . and I didn't care about gas mileage back then!

only picture I had... snapped it right after I got the wheels.

Yea, I guess. Or maybe it's because you didn't post them right away. That could of had something to do with it.

I see them now

I have the 4.6 and I'm 2wd and I have 3.55's. Check the code on your door sill and look it up online.

And honestly, I was going to say that the tires on it now look too small to me, unless you are going for the big rim w/ small tire look. Some people like the Cen Cal-ish look haha

Sounds like you need new tires anyway. Step it down a size. like a 305/55-20. Even then, that is 2 or maybe 3 sizes bigger than stock.
Nevermind, I see you have a 4x4 which should have been a 265/70r17.
I ran a 33x12.5x17 for 2 years and for the look, it was not worth the loss in gas mileage. I'm back to a 285/70r17 and like my mileage again.
