Bench Seat Center Console

I'm sure many of you have noticed that the center console (60/40 bench seat) sits kind of far back. It's not easy to use the drink holders!
Has anyone address this issue (modification) or is there some sort of add-on piece so it feels more comfortable to use the drink holder.

I sit all the way back as well. Now if you position your arm at a comfortable position on the console, the cup holders are at your wrist area. As for pax seat forward, well it would have to be all the forward for it to be just right
I don't know about you but I like to have my arm on the arm rest and my hand on my beer in the cup holder

look into an expedition console swap, there's a thread here some where that shows how to cut down the passenger seat to make the bench a bucket to keep cost down.

The narrow top consoles can be found on ebay cheap all the time, the wider one is nicer but harder to find.

Nice Job!! It would be nice to switch out the 60/40 and get some buckets with full console.

BTW, Where do you normally park your truck.

I've also been wanting to do the expy console swap for the same reason! Not so much for the cup holders, but I would like something bigger as an arm rest. I don't like being stretched out when I'm driving, so the console seems to set too far back.

Has anyone ever swapped in an Expy console with floor-shift transfercase?

Which expy consoles are compatiable for a 98 f150? I really like the 05 eddie bauer console, but not sure if it will work?
