So are you saying that a compact Toyota has a stronger front suspension then an F150?

No from everything i've read I would do an adapter plate for a ford tranny.

Maybe if I were paying someone to do it for me. But I think your over pricing it. But it wouldn't be the first time I drop a coin on a project. From when I first got my ranger to the time I sold it I dropped around 40 grand on it. I sold it for $1800. So its not about the money. Its about the fun.

P.S.: Did I mention I was also going to install 24" wheels?

#1 it's not legal in the United States, you'll be fine unless you get checked...

#2 with better front springs it should be fine

#3 you have a 4r70w hence my initial about the 4r100 swap, or add another couple grand for a built 4r70

#4 I priced it out and decided to stick with my supercharged 5.4 as it's a lot more fun and more cost effective... good luck, I know a couple people with cummins in their race trucks and the 5.9 will fit with ease

It's been done in the F150 but it's more common in the F250, especially those blessed with a problematic 6.0 (my 6.0 hasn't given me any trouble). It's ironic, most of those guys go with a 4R100 transmission or the Dodge unit. There's a company called Destroked that makes the conversion kit.

Engine swaps are not a crime. You just won't pass emmissions. So unless you can show proof then its just what you think. So lets not talk about that anymore. Without facts threads get nasty and we don't need that.

Wyatt.. I've got just over 243,000 on it now..

GaToy.. I hope you were just kidding about the 24's....

Also, where did you find that a 5.9 Cummins only weighs #400?? Well, maybe the block itself does...

Nope, I wanted to do 26's but I can't afford $2000 every time it needs new tires. But remember just because its not what you would do doesn't mean its wrong. It would be pretty boring here if all our vehicles looked the same. I was met with the same sarcasm when I did a 10.5" lift on a 2wd truck. All that matters is what makes the owner happy. You'll learn this when your older.
