SVT Lightning Fornt bumper

I'm in search of a SVT Lightning bumper/valance for my 99 f150. I want to loose the gray valance since no body shop in my area will paint it. Looking to do a color match on my lower two-tone. Would love to have a PIAA valance but they are so rare I'll never find one. If anyone has any leads please let mw know. THX

I believe the SVT uses a one-piece polyurethane bumper cover. It might be easier/cheaper to look into the HD/STX valences.

I got an L lower valance for mine via ebay or amazon. I dont remember. It was in really good shape when i got it too for being fiberglass. I would suggest finding a Urethane one tho. Stylin trucks has some lower valances. And a quick google search can provide good results aswell.

Just paint your valance yourself. Just get some adhesion promoter, a spray bomb of the colour you want and some clear coat and its done. Kinda weird that any shop would turn down work.

I can see shops turning down something like this. If the surface isn't prepped properly, don't use adhesion promoting primer, etc any number of things could result in a flaky paint job. Even if the paint isn't flexible enough it could start cracking. They probably had issues in the past where people were not satisfied with the work so rather than getting a bad reputation for painting plastic bumper pieces they probably prefer not to even try.

chrmar, That's what they are telling me, flaking issue. Also due to the texture of the valance the paint, even the same color code, will not match.

99 Valance

I've searched for the stx and Harley with no luck. I'm going to stop by the dealerdhip this week and see if I may be able to order an OEM. The problem is that both of these bumpers, I've been told were limited in production, kinda like the PIAA everyone likes. Has anyone ever seen or used the Street Scene front valances/bumper covers? I'm looking at this one( http://www.streetsceneeq.com/product...046&rid=&img=1 ), looks pretty good PTM.

If you are able to order from a dealer, expect to pay anywhere from $500-1000 for it, if they can get it. I was luck enough to get mine from a guy on here who got sideswiped. I paid $200 for it and his insurance got him another one
