Mystery Plug

I have a loose 1 wire plug in my engine bay and am not sure what it goes to. It is located on the drivers side behind the air intake by the PS pump. The wire color is red with a light green stripe. Can anyone tell me where this is supposed to plug in?

I forget what they are called but there is a little black thing that bolts to the timing cover that it plugs into. There is one on the passenger side and one on the drivers side. Let me find a pic

Heres the one on the passenger side. Don't mind the red arrows, that was for something else.

Thanks, that's definitely what it is. The one on the passenger side is there and plugged in. Now I just need to figure out what it is called so I can get another one.

It's an ignition noise suppressor or something like that.

Close enough tho.

They call it a, - "Radio Ignition Interference Capacitor".

Right,- that's a a lot of words for that tiny part isn't it ? Almost sounds like they couldn't make up their minds what to call that thing

OR, -that's the end result after a few to many Star Trek re-runs.

Just make sure it isn't for the sending unit. That has one wire as well. BUT, I seriously doubt that it is. Given the location and color. The sending unit is a little further down and I believe it uses a white connector w/black wire.
