I already know which exhaust and cold air kit I am getting, my question is which tuner do you recommend? Preferably with numbers to back it. I have the '02 XLT with the 5.4L. Computers arent my specialty so I'm looking to you guys.

Save your money and look up the Gotts mod on here. Costs like $15 and has been shown to give more power than any intake except maybe the Air Force-1 for the 4.6 and 5.4 2v motors.

And most people either go Superchips or Edge with custom tunes. I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered to death though, so try using the Search and I bet just about any question you have, has already been answered.

Look in the Tuners forum. All kinds of good info in there.

the superchips cannot be custom tuned...

the Edge converted to a Gryphon by PHP or a SCT product are the most common ones

The Superchips 4-bank chip can be custom tuned by Troyer Performance I know for sure.
