Belltech 4/6 kit
4/6 lowering kit questions...
I was skimming through Craigslist last night and came up on a super good deal I couldnt pass up. A Belltech 4/6 lowering kit. It came with the complete front strut/spring combo in one piece. And the rear shocks with some kind of shackle. I have been googling Belltech 4/6 kit and cannot find the same kit with this shackle. Most of them come with the same looking shocks and springs, but blocks and U bolts, not the shackle I have...
I have a few questions before I decide to either use this, or sell it.
1. Will I need to cut and brace a section of the frame to use this 4/6 kit?
2. Where do these Shackles go?

3. Am I missing anything else? Anything needed to complete this 4/6 drop?
4. Will this kit work with both the 8.8 rear and the 9.75 rear?
5. Will this kit work with lighting suspension?[

Those brackets are probably for a rear flip kit. As getting 6" out back is a little different then going for 4" usually. I'm sure another street truck owner will chime in if im wrong.
Ona side note, if you're not sure of all the parts being sold, i wouldnt even touch it unless you can identify them 100%.

Belltech 4/6 kit
I have A belltech lowering kit and im a little lost on installing the rear... I think I may be missing items. The front is one piece shosh, spring, strut mount, ect. and is pretty strait foward as far as the install.
But for the rear, all I have is shorter shocks and these brackets...

Given it's a 6 inch drop in the rear, I'm pretty sure I will have to put a notch in my frame. Which I will be fabbing myself. And from what I can find online, the rear axle will go from under the axle to over it (flip kit). But I just dont see where these brackets fit into this...
Anyone know?
Also, since I might be missing things for the rear. Is there anything else I might be missing for the front with the 4" drop? Truck is a 97 V6 2 wheel drive single cab flare side...

One last question before I attempt to install it this weekend since the holiday gave me a few days off...
The Belltech perch mount dosnt quite fit by placing it underneath the axle. The upper tabs toucing the inside area of the stock perch keep the radiused area from sitting flush against the axle. Am I supposed to pound these to fit in place to be a tight fit?
Also, my Belltech perch mount has 2 bolt holes in it. My leafs only have one center bolt. Is this just because they use the same mount for a few models and some might have 2 bolts or just a different placement?

4/6 lowering kit questions...belltech
I purchased a belltech 4/6 lowering kit a few months ago from a guy on Craigslist. I had never been under my truck at the time which is a 97 Flareside regular cab. I am finally getting around to installing them since I finally have the camber bolts with washers and the c notches made up. but I noticed that the strut tops on the lowering kit I have is a 3 bolt mounting point. and my truck only takes a single bolt. if these do not belong to my truck, what year would they go to?

I've combined 4 of your threads all on the same subject. It gets very confusing for anyone trying to help you if you've got multiple threads running around this place.
Also your rear flit kit perches have two holes in them, indicating they are 04+ design. I bet if you measured them, they'd come in at 3" (the width of 04+ leafs) and not 2.5" (the width of your leafs)
