Bad news for TrueBlue
BBk stainless shorty headers(i know not long tubes but hey they work) bbk under drive pully's ,flex plate, higher amp altenator, New motorcraft coils, new 19 lb injectors, bbk 75mm tb (which i just bought for my other motor) Gatorback belts and all new hoses.
Well if anything I learned what not to do next time. Hope fully the new engine should be in the truck by the end of next week. I really can't wait to see what the heck i did wrong. I figure ill tear down the complete motor and sell it for parts...Well whats still good on it. Have a ton of powder coated stuff im gonna sell and a new set of bbk valve covers that i had silver powder coated. Kinda happy with the thought now of a new engine. Thanks for all the feed back guys!
i have a strong feeling if i dont get my truck sold soon ill have a head gastet to play with, so i just want an idea of what happened so someone can pinpoint what happened and i can avoid that (if i need to do the work) i know you didnt do much more than removal of intake manifold and valve cover gaskets, but any and all helps!
So true.. Ive had my experiences with stupidity... That's how we all learn our best! A week back I fixed the rust under my doors with rubber undercoat. Me being the genius I am I filled in the holes on the bottom of the door (ONLY DRIVER DOOR) To seal it from moisture so Rust wouldn't form. Boy was it bad when you hear water rushing inside your door when its rained for 3 days... I had about 4 liters (1 and a bit gallons) from the inside of your door.. Now I know what the holes are for!

Man that sucks! I built my longblock for right at 2500 with a fully forged bottom end, PI head swap, gaskets, fluids, machine work and all. Why not since its not your daily build a bottom end to allow you to turn up the wick later?
So now your going to run boost w/shorty headers? They have to breath man..

At least you got 2500 for that L motor, - can't believe that one and the guy drove 5 hrs for it lol. I've seen them fully built/forged and detailed for under 4K. However, you have to know where to look and give yourself a little time for it to reveal itself.
In fact, a user that posts in this in forum quite a bit found a nice L engine just like that for 3800 not to long ago. User name was 4.2 something ? Can't recall his complete user name, but some of you might.

4sixs incorporate those fricken runners... = Bad news. Wouldn't touch one myself. Modulars tend to find lean easy enough as it is, -even w/original programing and hardware. With everything else tight, you can get away with LT's and an intake, -that's as far as you can go without programing. Oh you'll be lean alright, -just not dangerously and still within parameters. But, -the plugs will chalk up for sure... White like lol.
Right. Use all that warranty up first with something like that. Don't feel bad, -the modular is only easy for Ford to produce. For example, -Jasper has been rebuilding Modulars for close to a decade. You still here about Jasper remans being sent back, -sometimes twice before the vehicle leaves the bay. Modulars are great engines, - known for longevity w/simple maintenance. -Precise perfect and critical. Not afraid to spank, -in more ways than one lol.
