Will this setup work?
I have a 2003 f150 2wd 5.4L supercrew truck. I want it lifted, but not for mud purposes. For my own desire and to have some extra ground clearance down the local trails. I am wanting 35s with 18" rims. But I don't want to spend over a grand for the lift. So, if I get 3.5" spindles, 1.5" daystar spacers, 4" rear blocks, and a 3" pa body lift; will I be able to clear 35x12.5? The rims I want have a 4.5" backspacing and are 18x9. I know I'll probably have some rubbing and some trimming to do. I'll also be upgrading the front and rear shocks, adding a Detroit locker, and 4.56 gears.
It should work, I hope your doing install yourself otherwise you'll be well over the cost of a fabtech 7.5". You should probably figure in new ball joints and outer tie rods when doing the spindles also, chances are the old ones will get mangled in the swap and if they have 60k+ on them they'll be shot in no time anyways once you get the bigger tires on.
Yeah, all the install I will be doing. Why pay someone when I can do it myself and know its done right? That's what I always say. But getting new tie rods and ball joints is a great idea. I don't even think of that. Mine have over 140k on them.. But thanks for the reply man!
