I wil NEVER buy pads from O'reilly again! I bought so called Lifetime warrant pads, and then they refused to honor the warranty because they had gone metal2metal on the left side. When I challenged them, they said I should have known because of the squealer tabs on the pads. I told them that I cannot hear the sqealers, because I am deaf at the frequency of the squealer, but they still refused to replace them. O'reilly's can bite me!

This. I always lol when I see 16 year olds who spend hundreds of dollars on drilled and slotted rotors thinking they are going on a track or think they are getting more stopping power than stock flat ones

I can tell you this... if you drive a bit on dusty roads, the slots clog up with road dust and brake dust. On long downhill descents and slow speeds they dont clean themselves out and will make a ton of racket for a few hours to follow.

Otherwise, powerslots have a good rep for truck replacements.

I just went through the same thing, Last weekend I replaced the front brakes and rotors on my 1998 4.2L at the same time I was going to do all the shocks, but only did the rears because I found I had a busted front coil spring..

Brakes, I purchased through http://www.partstrain.com/ for $254 shipped
Powerstop Brake Disc and Pad Kit F-150 Part number Part #: P15K1865 this for my 1998. they appear great, and were reasonably priced, only additional items I needed to get were the seals..

Shocks, also from http://www.partstrain.com/ I purchased the Rancho's 5000 series, for $50 each (all the way around) and right now the is mail in rebate to get 4 for the price of three.
Part #: R38RS5235 and Part #: R38RS5236

We did the rear shocks and it was a breeze, took ten minutes a side (read a bunch of horror stories of people having problems) and was tickled pink with immediate improvement, as soon as the coil springs come in I'll do the front shocks and springs at the same time.

Hope this helps, and good luck..

Trucks should not use slotted, as toyz said they wil gum up and be usless. If you use them off road. I always bought Monroe Sen tracks. But tryed the 5000s and they feel and ride great.
I use napa brakes on my truck.
