looking for a camper shell

I found a camper that I like and am possibly going to buy for camping and such. Now my question is does the the rear of the regular cab and the back of the extra. Cab have different rakes? I read somewhere they do and cannot for the.life of me find it...

This is the 97-03 body style specific so please don't say it needs to go under a different subforum

I thought they would be too. I don't see why they would change it.

Go over and see if it does fit - looks like the seller isn't sure anyway.

They ARE NOT the same. I had my regular cabs camper top on my super cab, and it hung off the back a good 3 inches. A super cabs topper should work on a regular cab though.

I will be going to check it out soon. It is however for the 97-03 the dimensions are the same. I'm gonna try to go take a look at it this weekend.

Its cab shape. Regular cabs are angled forward a bit more.

Would this be a good price if it fits and is in decent shape?

Could you post a pic of where the shell meets the cab for a comparison to pictures I have?

If you are putting a super cab shell on a reg cab there will be about a 3" gap at the top of the cab. You can get different types of seals to fill gap and keep weather out. Ran one without a filler on my old reg cab for two years. Winters sucked but if you're in tx that wont be an issue.

Camped in ours several times. Much nicer than packing a tent around

Thats really why I want one. I want to be off the ground when im camping and I wont have to worry about setting up and tearing down a tent. Im looking for one for my scab. I found one I will be going to look at tomorrow. Hopefully it will fit.
