Any one know where to get front brake backing plates?

Any one know where to get front brake backing plates?
The rear plates are all over, but the only front ones I can find are salvage.

I had the same issues, rear's were easy to get. I had to go to the dealer and order the the front's. Don't remember the cost but it was from a dealer so more than aftermarket.

Are you talking about the dust/splash shield? Part number is 2K004 for my 1997. $28.00 from FordParts.com. They have drawings to verify what part you are talking about.

That part shoes up as an axle part. I did a search and all they show is rear backing plates as well. I guess the front ones aren't supposed to rust out.

Thanks for the eBay link. I couldn't find them as backing plates. I guess it's a dust shield.

Yea, I noticed mine were rusting through when I did my brake job last year.
