Wheel Question???

i have a 2002 f150 xlt super crew 2wd with a leveling kit and yokohama P255/70R16 tires and i was wondering if i could fit XD spy's the come in these sizes

17" x 8"
17" x 9"
18" x 8.5
18" x 9"
20" x 8.5"
20" x 9"

i don't know much about wheels so will the 20" and 18" fit if so will the 18" be to small or will the 20" look too big.. which one would look better

I can't help with that specific brand/size wheels, but what are you trying to achieve with the change? Looks? Performance? Lift? Lower? Load?

I do know it's all about the back spacing with what fits and looks good..

The width of the wheels is dependent on how wide your new tires are going to be, but in general, those widths should provide you with a wide variety of options. Your stock wheels are only 7" wide.

Well, if you only have 16" tires, you can't put them on a 17" wheel, period...

You can get a 16" dia wheel that's 8" wide and put your current tires on them.

But, a 255 tire is not all that wide to begin with.. I have a 265 wide tire and have the same wheels as you do and they work fine. A little taller, so your speedo/odo will be off if you go that route, but 7" wide wheel is fine for them.

I know exactly what you are going thru... 30 years ago, I was a 'kid' too and wanted some nice wheels and tires for my ride... (a 1971 Ford LTD 2 dr with a 400 CI engine in it!).. I had to settle for the stock steel wheels with some chrome trim rings and a 'baby moon' chrome hub caps! I did get some GR60x15 tires for them!

Anyway, that was a loong time ago, but I'm sure it's the same today as it was back then when trying to build a nice ride as a 'kid'..

I was flipping steaks for $3.85/hr back in 1982! That was good money for a punk kid just out of HS!

Anyway, you'll have to budget for tires as well as the wheels for any of those choices you stated...

You'll have to get new tires, you said your tires on the truck are for 16" wheels and none of the wheels you listed are 16s....
