rear window surround

Im goig to PTM my rear window surround by sanding out the texture on the plastic/prime/paint/clear/buff/etc... But was wondering how this comes off? I sure it dose through the inside. Also where can i get a new seal to go around this piece. Thanks in advance!

Almost all the members thati have seen do it just taped it off... I think you would need to pull the rear window to get it out. Well that's what it looks like on mine...

Yea just tape it off. To get the plastic off the window has to come out.

Butyl Tape

Some people say you can use the stuff that goes in the caulk gun, but when the glass company used that it failed four times and hasn't leaked since they put to cord style tape in. Like everyone has said the window has to come out, not really an issue with two sets of hands though. Took the guy from the glass company and myself less than ten minutes, I had all the interior plastics off at the time though.
