Looks like those are good for 100,000 miles so I think we have a winner. And yes rock auto was a great suggestion they are only $6.60 per plug.

Put autolites in my truck at 80,000 miles, as of today it has 144,600 on it. No problems at all.

Yea, they're usually real good with parts and shipping. They use quite a few different warehouses. From what I hear, you have to watch they're shipping prices when comes to larger products. Don't always assume they're the best, it could bite yuh lol.

Also, if don't have or use a torque wrench, tightening instructions are on the box in turns after seat. I'd add at least 1/4 turn to that. 1/4 - 1/2. If you need a torque wrench, eBay has some killer deals on new and used Snap On's, Matco and MAC. Needed a small 1/4" drive. Recently came across a Snap-On that retails for $300 for $30 w/case. Sold as used, but I'm pretty sure this thing hasn't been... Shiny lol. There's so many of them for sale,-real easy to get one dirt cheap.

Yea, some report not having a problem. Some just say that for spite. I recall a user saying the same not to long ago and got busted. He did his plug change online @ another site which showed he used Motorcrafts lol.

Regardless, I've tried them as well as a few others just to have them heat up, get all colorful and fail, misfire either right away or work at first, only to fail before recommended service interval. Autolite AP/APP103's and 104 series have been problematic in the past. Not just the trucks, but for ALL Ford "Modular" engines 97-03.

So, the question is, - Why chance it? Right, doesn't make sense, but there's always a few.

On the flip side, -Autolite plugs perform well in the Ford 3 valve engines. Not a problem what so ever from what I hear.

I use NGK Iridiums. Change every 50,000 and have had no issues. I haven't heard of anyone around here having problems with them on the 2v engines.

I had them done just a few months after i got the truck... This was my first vehicle with COPS and i decided to "rinse the motor off" at the car wash. I fried two COPS and decided it would be a good time to get the plugs done

The mechanic recommened Autolites and i said fine.. After i got the plugs done is when i started reading use only Motorcraft plugs... But after almost 65,000 miles the truck still runs great.. Guess i am one of the lucky ones. The next plug change will be motorcrafts.

NGK iridium's are good plugs the may have been dropped or damaged on installation I would use them. I have Denso iridium in my truck they are great plugs. I would only use denso motorcraft or NGK plugs.. I also ran Autolites before I read about them here and never had an issue.
