I've been wanting to do this. Checked out this thread, bought a similar actuator on eBay, and I can't figure out how the actuator is supposed to fit. That thread is on an '09, and I don't know if maybe our model doesn't have the room for it, but I couldn't get it to fit correctly. And the only way I could get it to even come close, was to either remove the rod that unlatches the tailgate, or have them touching with a lot of pressure. There was no clearance between the actuator and the rod.

Just seeing if anyone else with our year trucks have done this mod. Mine's an '02.
