Odometer light goes out sometimes.

My odometer light goes out sometimes, then eventually goes back on. I wonder what can be causing this, and how to fix it?

There is a fix for it somewhere around here. Very common problem. Doesnt hurt anything other than being annoying. Search and you will find

It is a very easy fix. It takes longer to disassemble and reassemble everything than it actually does to fix the problem. I did mine a couple weeks ago and everything is still working as it should.

why? the vehicles last well past 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. They did what Ford promised they would do.
