Yeah I need one as the S331 rad hose gets in the way of the filter and it's a pain to loosen with a CAT filter wrench.

Am just gonna hand the number over to my friendly NAPA Rep.

The recommended Motorcraft blend and the FL820 filter. I'm well over a quarter million miles. Engine still runs very strong and doesn't loose any oil between changes.

I think it depends on the mileage of the truck as to what you should use.

My 98 has 376, 000 kms. I use 10W30 in summer and 5W 30 in winter. (gets cold up here lol)

As for brand it never really used to matter but I recently switched to penzoil (about 3 or 4 oil changes ago) as I here less negative things about it and I got a super deal on it so I stocked up on it. I don't think brand really matters but the penzoil seems to stay cleaner longer then all the others I tried.

I always used a fram filter until my last oil change when I switched to MC. soo much quieter now. I will never go back- its cheaper too .

Also change every 5000kms, no sooner. I went 10, 000kms once due to some other issues non truck related (between 350 000 to 360,000kms) and I got very lucky with nothing going wrong. I wouldn't recommend it though.
