My truck is freaking out!!

Its a 2001 F-150 XLT ext cab, 4.2L 2wd The oil pressure isn't going up but i checked the oil and it has pressure. the Check engine soon light just came on. the abs light came on. When I'm at a stop light with the brake pedal depressed and have my turn signal on, the flasher flashes super fast, I get off the brake and step on the gas and I hear the flasher flash normal. I think I can hear something when I'm braking, but can't be sure. I switched out the speedometer to the autometer lunar series back in Dec, truck has been parked since Dec while I was in Afghanistan. It has LED tails don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I'll grab my tuner and check the codes. When it's parked or I'm not stepping on the brake the LEDs flash like they did with the old taillights.

I remember seeing the cluster pics on here a while ago. Maybe the connector on the back has issues. I repaired my OEM cluster, just a pin to solder, and removed my gauge needles to clean....it took a long time to get the gauges to read correctly again because putting them back on exactly like they were is a PITA. Had to put the needles back in with the truck running and remembering what the gauge should read at that point.

Or LED's without a resistor module or a flasher made for LED's.

Ok so first time trying to drive at night and I turned the truck on in my driveway and as I turned my lights on, it's died. I tried it 3 times and all the dash lights come on and it dies. Could the aftermarket cluster be causing this??

Sounds like the battery. They can get all goofy if the battery has a weak cell and having a hard time keeping above 11 volts. It may be hard to tell when it's border-line, without checking it out.. Yea, I'd check the battery -its easy enough to do.

Ok I'll check that. I have a optima yellow top, I took it out and stored it in a dry place.

That is likely the problem - Optimas aren't what they used to be. Take it in and get it charged and tested.
