The 2 cup cupholder in the dash got pushed just like any other time but when I went to push it in so it would pop out it wouldn't. I know the spring is still attached to it because when I push it in it goes back and than comes forward but not all the way like its suppose to so I can grab it and pull it all the way out. I thought maybe the ash tray was full of trash and the lid was open enough to keep it from coming out so I pull the trim piece from around the radio off so I could see down there but nope everything is fine, I even tried to push it out from the back but it won't budge and i'm afraid to pull on it too hard and break it. any ideas?

 

I had this issue with the cup holder in my truck. Basically there's a little pin that sticks down from the metal tray they holds the cup holder. If that pin gets bent the cup holder won't spring back out. I had to unbolt the whole metal tray thing and get the assembly out and eventually managed to get the tray separated from the cup holder and bent the spring back.
