All 6 discs will not eject.... it sits clicking and mocking me....even when she is turned off....mocking me....
Anybody got a trick. If I jam another cd in the box, it stops clicking.... I am considering upgrading to utilize an ipod/usb connection with blue tooth.... but right now I just want to get my favorite discs back out.

Disconnect the power so it forgets what it is trying to do. Then re-connect the power and after it initializes it should be quiet. Then never touch the CD button again.

I have had the same thing happen in two Mustangs and a truck with the CD6. The first time it happened I took it to the dealer and they told me that the only way to get the CD's out was to take the unit apart and gently slide the CD's out of the unit. The told me that they all do it eventually because the springs that move the CD's around wear out, especially if the CD's are left in the unit for long periods of time without removing them from the unit. Hell, I would leave in the same 6 CD's for months at a time. They wanted $300 to do it.
I took it home and did it myself, you have to remove the unit, remove the front control panel and the top and/or bottom cover. You should see the CD's separated by black plastic leafs. Very carefully lift each leaf and gently slid the CD's out. The bottom one is the worst, because it tends to move the top leaves out of their slots. If that happens you just have to carefully align them back up and slide them back into place.
After you have the unit back in, turn it on and it will reinitialize. You can now put CD's back in the unit. Beware, if it has happened once it will happen again. It will last longer if you do not put a CD in slot #1 (Bottom).
Best solution is to get your CD's out and either replace it with a rebuilt or an aftermarket head unit and use a remote CD changer, or just do away with the CD's altogether and use an MP3 or a flash drive hookup through a USB. That is what I eventually did.

- Isn't there a little hole you can stick a paper clip into , -to manually eject?
