Exhaust

Well on the new truck, the guy had straight pipes with duel cherry bombs on it. Not exactly sure if they are cherry bombs but they look like it. Check engine light is on and i got it checked and the guy said it needs more back pressure. Here are my options, put a catalytic converter back on or is there a di/do muffler that will make more back pressure?? Help! I am not sure if there is a $ difference either.

Do you know What code it was? Number wise

The CEL is because of no cats. You need the front cats back on Magnaflow hi flo cats are good. Or you can get MIL eliminators

Bank 1 and 2 were running too lean, meaning it needs more pressure which made since to me. The previous owner had the exhaust for a while but im affraid it will hurt the engine over time.

Thats because of the lack of cats. Get two of these http://www.jegs.com/p/Magnaflow/Magn...50982/10002/-1

With no cats it throws a code making the engine run rich. you can go two ways with this.

1. Get the hi flows
2. Mill eliminators to trick the o2 sensors to think there are cats on the truck
