Man, a 2004 Heritage STX reg cap in Maroon, that has to be some kind of rare truck! I wouldn't mess with it too much, but I would do a mild drop maybe a 2/4 or 3/5. As far as the valance goes you better be sitting down when you go start looking for one, they are very hard to find and very expensive if you do find one in any kind of decent condition.

A question for lokilightning, where did you find a set of 4" shackles? The longest ones I could find were 3". Also, did you have to notch the frame using those shackles? I was thinking of getting a set of 2" drop hangers to use with my 3" shackles, but it looks like I will need to notch the frame for them to work and I really didn't want to mess with cutting out the old hangers.

^^ This.

Now, with that said, I'm in the same boat as you. College in the fall, and the summer money just keeps rolling in. I spent a majority of my budget on upgrading mechanical parts/replacing fluids to make it as efficient and nice to drive everyday as possible... reliability is a major factor for me because I'm commuting. Then, I dumped the rest of the money into audio upgrades. Girls usually like a vibrating seat...

After those, I'm left with a mere pittance, which I then spend on the cheap appearance mods. PTM, or in your case, pulling the door molding off, replacing those side mirrors, definitely new heads, etc. I've never seen full amber parking lights before.

Thanks, Anderson!

That is a great point on directing funds toward vehicle maintenance and reliability as a first priority ( before the vibrators - LMAO! ) I completely forgot to mention that!
