Broke down and got something better on gas

Well after driving my truck everyday for the last 3 years and dealing with the 12.5 mpgs I am starting to get sick of it. SO... I decided to get something a little better on gas. I am keeping the truck but pretty sure it will sit most of the year. Will give me some time to fix all the little problems. Enough talk and to get to the pictures.

1999 Yamaha R6 with 15,600 miles on it.

Once I get it cleaned up and looking all nice and shiney I will get some more pictures for you guys.

I estimate I will save approx $800 over the next 7 months or so.

Be sure and get a battery tender for the truck if it will sit a lot.

My first bike was a 2000 model R6. I logged 25K miles on that bike in 2 years and then sold it for what I paid (gotta love people that purchase on impulse). A steering damper would be a worthwhile addition to that old bike. Shift detent spring is a common failure on those year models too, keep that in mind if you regurlarly hit a false neutral between first and second. Gear up and ride safe, nothing matches the feeling of the open road!

Sweet bike. Love the blue and white. Be careful out there.

Ride safe. I got cutoff today from some woman in a big SUV. Its nice to get 45 mpg but that becomes turned around once you see the roof of an ambulance
