01 f150 4.6 flat spot at 2000 rpm
Get them out of there and put some Motorcrafts (not Autolite or any other brand) in. Bosch plugs don't work worth a crap in Ford modular V8's. Aftermarket parts are okay for some things, but not spark plugs in these engines.
Ouch that's gonna hurt Motorcrafts are pricey $64.00 for plugs I hope that will smooth out my Idle.
You can change plugs if you want, but they, 'the plugs', are never a cause of a flat spot in acceleration, no matter what plugs they are.
Only time plugs themselves would be an issue is during cruise at light near costant throttle opening with the EGR function being operated by the PCM.
Under these conditions plug tip errosion can make the plugs harder to fire during the EGR lean conditions.
The EGR usually operates well below 2000 rpm in OD under light throttle loading..
Actually, new plugs last about 600 miles until the electrodes begin to round off and the required plug voltage begins to rise slowly over time.

I am starting to suspect the mass air flow? maybe, I cleaned it with mass air flow cleaner a while back (1 month ago), I didnt take it apart cuz at the time I did not have a star security bit (I do now) I just sprayed off the little sensors, could I have screwed something up? thanks for the help by the way!! I also have a pretty decent actron scanner witch is pretty nice and easy to use, it gives no codes but some of the internal tests fail $10.......? not sure what that means lol.
