All you need is a 3in. PVC pipe and a connector. Use the search tool above to find great instructions and pics on how to do it. It will take you about 10mins if you have the supplies.

Cost me about 10 bucks to do it. Go over to the how to section and search "
"gotts".

I did this mod years ago before hearing about the GOTTS MOD.
No change in performance but extra noise so removed it.
.
.
Here is the Physics of intake air operation:
....There is something that is not known by many about intake air dynamics.
....You have 6 or 8 or even 10 cylinders that take air in through the throttle body.
....Since this is a 'pulsing' condition as each cylinder's intake valve opens, the air in the intake tract and the larger filter housing has more than enough air 'volume' space to feed each single cylinder in turn.
....Between each cylinder pulse the air used in this volume is replaced through .the inlet end of the tract.
....Since the volume of one cylinder is much smaller than the volume space it draws air from, the intake end that looks like a restriction is still much larger than a single cylinder volume so offers no restriction under normal driving conditions.
.....The intake 'nozzle' allows enough the air into the volume space between single cylinder pulses as well as during the intake stroke of a single cylinder so offers little or no restriction in normal driving RPM ranges.
....This dynamic is much the same as a Reed Valve two stroke motor that breaths through a flat metal reed then seals between pulses.
.
The entrance design fitting is there to reduce noise to the driver and others in the cab without offering a restriction for the application.
