You get what you pay for man, I'd recommend searching next time before you buy a set though. There's plenty of bad reviews of spyder's cheap chinese products.

TO add insult to injury i also bought the valance to install these lights into
i sat down yesterday and very carefully measured my old valance which i hung on to and cut two very tidy 4" holes into it and am mounting 2 x100watt 4 " driving lights from princess auto behind the valence they work really well as i have had hooked up temporarily on the the truck for a while now

i will put other valence up for sale its brand new

Yeah those are H3 projector models with the CCFL halos. They're meant more for looks than performance. But even then they look hideous

Boy did you get that right and once you have them returning them is so awkward they just about take more than 1/2 the price if you decide to return

Careful now, 130W is quite a bit of heat for a tiny H3 and those housings. You do have the appropriate size wiring and relay for it too I hope?

Raptor 05121 no need to worry the lights came with 100 watt H3's OEM

this is my company

these lights are of a very good construction yes they will get hot but i am confident the housings can take the heat no plastic in housings anywhere

130 watt lamp draws 9.6 amps @ 13.5 volts these lights are fed with 10ga wire which is good for 30 amps and there is a 40 amp relay ahead of the set
the lighting is all controlled remotely as i wanted to bring no wiring into the cab

my other toy

12.21@114mph 1188lbs full of fuel 208hp 196ft/lbs torque at 7100 rpm

I thought about buying those lights for my 98 but a guy told me they dont even fit in the bumper holes properly so i paid twice as much and got the much better quality depo fog lights which fit like factory and plug right into the factory wiring.

Johnnyford98

i cut those holes in the valance myself your 98 has holes in the bumper for the driving lights does it not the later trucks had the lights in valance

i have the driving light valance and the cheap spyder auto fog lights the valance is for sale and i will throw in driving lights if you want them

Okay i just reread your post i understand what you mean now i just want to warn people to stay away from the crappy spyder auto lights so you don't get stung like i did

my truck did not have factory wiring for fog lights my lights are activated by a remote control wiring system i built

Yeah mine are in the chrome bumper but i have heard nothing but bad things about those spyder lights in general. On the 97/98 like mine all the bumpers had the holes but on some like mine instead of lights it just had black plugs that are bolted in but when you remove them the factory style lights bolt right in and luckily even the trucks like mine that came with no lights the plug is still under there i guess in case anyone ordered them at the dealer they could just plug them in.Too bad for you it sounds like you went to alot of time and expense to make those lights work.

2008 Bob: How did you secure the lights to the valance? A picture may help me understand how to secured the lights.
