surprised they even installed unit with only 1 key.. I been to 3 different places and was told I needed another key that worked 1 for ingition and other for remote programing perposes

It probably had 2 keys when it was installed. I bought the truck with just one key. Then I found out which model remote start it had and ordered a remote online.
