About 6-7 months ago I purchased an '03 F150 5.4L 4x4 Sports and just recently its started intense jerks while im accelerating. I spent around $600 having an ignition coil and all spark plugs replaced and this problem started up again. Im unsure if its another ignition coil, because this time around it does it even when im stopped at stop lights. Before it would only do it while accelerating. Also, it only does it when the truck warms up, before that it runs fine. Any input would be helpful.
Edit: Ive also noticed the overdrive is running a bit high. If I let the overdrive go on its own without any gas it can get the truck up to around 23 mph. Is this related to the jerking or another problem on its own.

Was the fuel filter changed as well with the prior work/tune up? If not, couldn't hurt to swap it out with a new one.
then I'd clean remove and clean the throttle body housing...& interior ports. As well as the IAC..this maybe the real gremlin here, causing it to idle too high. they just need a good cleaning every so often. Cleaning the IAC is a bunch easier with the Throttle body housing off, Then check for vacuum leaks.
I understand that your not too keen on putting more into this after your $600 tune up. But I don't think that it is anything to do with the tranny.
