To do list

Planning on getting some of these installed in the near future let me know what ya think-

4.88 yukon gears- 208.08 from diffsonly.com
Built 4r70w transmission- 1788.50 from here -http://www.monstertrans.com/store/products/4R70W-Super-Duty-Performance-Transmission-4x4.html
any body ever used this website???
detroit locker 686
Forged internals or a built 5.4 - anyone know any websites with built 5.4s or good forged internals?
whipple supercharger or eaton- 5k new round about
3 inch body lift - 240 from rcx
37x13.50 nitto mud grapplers - 534x4
set of fuel wheels- to be priced

borla pro xs muffler- 99x2
magnaflow x pipe- 85
One sick paint job- 1k-3k

Throughout this process ill probably through in some more like a differential cover when i re gear etc.

The exhaust will come first cause its the cheapest then the engine transmission and all that then the body lift and tires wheels... yes i know ill have to have my pipes re bent but the exhaust will be done during my ten day leave from bootcamp then i will buy my transmission 3 months later then the forged internals plus a programmer. Ill have that installed then around summer ill get a whipple and install it with a family friend who builds drag trucks. then the body lift will be bought after i have my new tires and wheels and ill do the body lift with a buddy that works at a shop.

opinions will be greatly appreciated. i love my truck and aint selling it so i would rather spend some change do everything i want too it than buy a new truck. plus i have a newer truck so its not like ill be out of a vehicle when im doing all this. also going to put nfab steps on it. tint windows bunch of small things new grill head lights etc. and i know ill have to have a hi flow intake once i put the whipple on. i pretty much just listed the big things i left out a lot of small details.

What about this block? for 2k it seems like it would be easier and cheaper to get this cause i can drop a complete block in with my buddy for no charge at all but i would have to have someone else build my motor for me cause my buddy stays busy alot and wouldnt have the time to do it for free like we usually do - http://www.modmaxracing.com/product_p/99525254.htm

what else would i need with this beens im putting a whipple on it and would i be able to use 25# of boost the max for a whipple with with this being a engine rated for 1000 plus hp ????

strong opinions needed on this one cause if it looks like a solid buy and i wont need much more to make it were i can drive it then ill get this and my transmission right after bootcamp and do my exhaust/trans/motor all at the same time cause i was looking at some expensive blocks and i could drive this till i got the money to buy the whipple and i would be breaking it in at the same time. what yal think?? i dont know if these blocks come complete ready to drop in cause i have never bought one. my trucks never even been in the shop for any repairs and its got 200k miles lol so im new to all this messing with trans and engine

Im from Tennessee actually lol west TN so ole miss aint to far. A lot closer than Knoxville for sure.

And yeah im pumped about getting started but i found a company in KY that does transmission and engine builds and i looked at their details and pricing and they seem better off than anything else. I contacted them about having a 5.4l built and 4r70w transmission and told them its a off road truck but i also like racing chevys down the street on occasion. Told them what all im planning on doing with it and im going to see if they what they say about pricing and what they think about doing to it. I told them im putting a whipple on it so forged internals are a must. So hopefully around monday ill be able to tell yal what they say about it. hopefully this turns out good so i can get everything done in one spot for my engine and trans and that will make it were i only have to go through two people to get all the work i want done accomplished !

What branch, and heck no i dont think anyone could afford to drop that much at one time now a days lol.

But i am excited about getting it done. Im doing the exhaust the the motor trans then the lift and re gear then the whipple. depending on how much the motor and trans is gonna cost me ill possible get it done this year along with the exhaust. . im only going reserves for this contract and hopefully going active as soon as this ones up so im getting everything i want done to my truck done before the contracts up cause i wont have the resources in North Carolina like i do around here.

im in the coast guard.

i would do the BL before the motor and trans, it makes it alot easier to access the motor giving you more room!

ok, im going to try and answer some of your questions.

did you call wayne for that price? get the master install kits front and rear for the axles too.
im running a detroit locker in the rear, it works great for offroading, but it is kinda harsh when driving around town.
check out http://www.mhpengines.com/ for a cheaper short block. there are several lightning guys running his engines with 15# plus of boost. but there is also JDM, JLP, WMS, etc..
as for the heads, cams, and which supercharger you want to run, you need to figure out how much boost and HP you want to get out of your motor.
im using darrin burch for my built transmission, he has a good rep for building up the 4r70w to handle the power of a supercharged 5.4, just ask me, or klitch. the transmission you posted doesnt come with a torque converter, which i highly recommend you get, i have a 2400 stall and it is awesome! definitely worth the money!!
you will also need a set of traction bars which i also just recently got.

check out my L swap thread.

Thanks for all the advice i will def. check out these places. i looked at the website were you did your trans and im probably going to contact him about a price. but i emailed a company today http://proweldperformanceparts.com/
they seem pretty good i emailed them to see about pricing and what they can offer on re building my 5.4 i looked for the torque converter you got and found it. i plan on running 20# if i can. i told the guy in the email i plan on running between 15 and 20. i dont know how much hp im looking for honestly. how much hp/ tq do you have with your eaton?? and i didnt call wayne but that was the list price i do believe. def going to get the master install kits for front and rear i just listed the price of the gears though
