Power Steering Problems

I have a 1997 F150 4x4 4.6.....I recently had problems with my steering. It was difficult to steer at low speeds figured pump was bad. Didn't get to it right away. Ended up changing the steering column bearing beacuse they where broke. Also changed the power steering pump out on it as well. Now you can not turn the wheels with the vehicle in park and the tires on the ground. Like the pump is not working wheel doesnt move at all left or right cant turn it hardly will moving. It would turn prior to changing the pump. What are some possible solutions. Tried bleeding it got some air out but now pressure line coming from pump to gear box is leaking. Is there maybe a pressure switch that went bad maybe. Where is this located. Thanks in advace... Zack

What fluid did you use? I know my 99 uses mercon trans fluid and not power steering fluid. It may have been for all 97-03's

If you could steer it before you changed the pump, and now you can't after changing
the pump,i would think it's a pump problem.

I would agree with JCR 56 Sounds like you got a bad pump. It happens sometimes, did me on a waterpump. Could be bad mojo or u bought a core that was restocked.
