Dome light stays on

Dome light stays on like door is still open at random times. I looked for the push button switch in the door jams like on other cars but found nothing. Any common problems with this? Where is the switch that senses wheter the door is open or closed located? Thanks in advance.

Switch is located inside the latch. Lubricate the latches and try closing the doors a couple times.

I had the same problem with my truck. Was told to take some wd-40 and spray it on the latch then slightly hit the door near the latch with a rubber mallet to break it lose.. Worked like a charm.

If this doesn't fix your issue you must check the wires going into the door inside the rubber weather proofing tube to see if the power wire and ground wires' insulation has rubbed through and touching each other and if this isn't the case it's time to get another door latch assembly check on Amazon or ebay first before the stealership haha oh I mean dealership because you may spend up to $200 for the latch assembly and this is on both American and Asian cars and If you have an American German car you could be paying up to $500 for the latch assembly from the dealership
