So i've been looking for a Brush Guard for my 98 f150 xl 4x4. I don't have the factory tow hooks and everywhere I've looked it says you need the factory tow hooks. What I heard is that if you get a brush guard made for 4x2 and remove the lower valence bumper it will work. Has any one done this. has it worked? Thanks

 

i got a 4x4 valance with fogs and tow hook holes. and drilled holes in the frame then mounted the hooks up. and for the brush guard, I built mine, and put 4inx4inx1/4in plates welded to the front of the frame horns to mount my guard.
